Are my signals working?

Polk and Bowen were driving along South Carolina Highway 21 when suddenly Polk pulled the pickup over to the side of the road.

"I don't think my turn signals is a workin'," he said to his buddy. "Go stand in back of the truck and tell me."

"Okay," said Bowen, getting out and walking to the rear of the vehicle. He stood silent for a while 'til the driver finally shouted, "What's happenin'?"

"They're workin' . . . they're not workin' . . . they're workin' . . . they're not workin' ..."
