Bet I can climb that light beam

Rundell and Tipton were working their first day in a coal mine. Rundell turned on his headlamp and said to his coworker, "I bet you five bucks you can't climb all the way up that beam of light."

"Oh, yes, I could," answered Tipton.

"For five bucks, I say you can't."

"Five bucks says I can!"

"Okay, then. Go ahead and climb it!"

"I'm no dummy," said Tipton. "I'd get halfway up and you'd turn the damn thing off!"
