Redneck mailman

For several months Birch had been collecting unemployment checks.

When they stopped he decided to become a mailman and went down to take the civil service exam.

The first question was, "How far is the earth from the moon?"

"Look," said the redneck to the examiner, "if'n that's gonna be mah route yew can forget it!"
