The cost of brains

Al-Hassan sat in the office of Dr. Salih, a brilliant neurosurgeon skilled in transplanting human brains.

"You have several donor brains amongst which to choose," said the surgeon.

"What are they?" asked the Arab.

"You can have this Russian brain for only $50,000," said the doctor. "Or here's an American brain, which I can transplant for $100,000. But if you can afford it I recommend this adult Iraqi brain over here. It's $500,000."

"How can you possibly justify such a high price for an Iraqi brain?" asked Al-Hassan.

"Because it's never been used!"
